SAPS Jeppe are investigating  a case of murder which took place on 2008 March 18  at Shell garage in Siemert and Currey street in Doornfontein.

 

The body of Mr Ikechukwu Promise Onyeamara was found inside a Polo Player GTI about 19:00. The deceased had a green and white rope around his neck which indicated that he was strangled. Three suspects, Sizwe Msimango(21) , Thutukani  Mazibuko (22)  and Phumlani Emmanuel Mkhungo (27) were arrested on the 16th of June 2008. They appeared in Johannesburg High court on the 9th of July and the case was postponed to 28 July 2008.

 

The police are  looking for the fourth suspect, Makhaya Vumani Thalenthe( 23)  who is still on the run. It is alleged that the suspects ran a car wash at the Shell garage. On the day of the murder the  deceased went there and he was robbed of cash and strangled.

 

Makhanya is suspected to be hiding in Rosboom in Ladysmith were he hail from.
